S6 can't send or recieve email thru optimum wifi

Just got a new S6, when sending e mail thru 4g LTE it works fine, at my home wifi (verizon) it works fine

on the road for work will not send or receive e mail when connected to optimum wifi, all other wifi functions

seam fine, great speed surfing, just no email, verizon blames Lollipop, optimum blames verizon

anyone have a similar problem?

Help has arrived, beach81959! This seems a bit odd. I understand the importance of being able to receive email while connected to a WiFi source to avoid data usage. What exactly happens when you try to send an email while connected to Optimum WiFi, are you receiving any error messages or does it just spin? Have you ever been able to send/receive email while connected to Optimums WiFi? Have you had issue while connected to other WiFi Networks?
