I used to be (up until @ 8 months ago) a Verion customer. I LOVE my Palm Treo 755. However, When I try to activate it now (I used all of my Palms on my Verizon account before!) I am told that ESN/MEID cannot be activated on Verizon. What gives?
Call customer service 8009220204 it should activate or they do it manually.
Talk about nostalgia. :smileyhappy: I remember having the 755...along with many other versions of the Treo. They were decent devices back then...
It could be that it is an analog device which I don't think can be activated anymore. Also, it is possible that it isn't E911 capable. Or it could just be that Verizon doesn't want it attached the network any longer.
It's neither analog nor non e 911 compliant. It should be just fine.
pherson is correct.. You'll need to call Verizon to activate.
It's Feb, 2018 and my iPhone just took a dive in the bathtub! I pulled out a Palm Treo 755p from a box in the garage (thankfully with a charger - and it fired up again!), online activation wouldn't work, called Verizon, and after transfer to a level 2 tech, it's now active on the network. You'll need the ESN Dec or Hex number from behind the battery.. there is no MEID number.
The last time I used this phone, I remember thinking, "Why would anyone bother to text someone?" .. I'm waiting for an iPhone X Plus around October.. I wonder if I can live w/ this Palm that long?
PS: Since my iPhone won't turn on now, I had to go to icloud.com to turn off Find My iPhone.
