16gb,64gb or 128gb

So my mom and I changed our minds and decided to go with the iPhone 6 come May when we're eligible for Edge. We both have a decent amount of things on our current phones (Motorola Moto X first generation) which doesn't have or offer an SD card slot like the iPhone. So storage space wise what would you suggest? Also how can we make sure our store will have the color we want? ( Gold)

The iPhone does NOT have a SD slot. So I suggest getting the most space you feel comfortable paying for. I went with the 64 GB only because the 128gb wasn't in stock (iPhone 6 plus) but my previous iPhones were also 64 GB so it fits my needs (I just wanted more space because I only have 9 GBs free). Look at how much storage you have used on your current device to help you make your decision.

And you will only know what your store has when you are ready to make your purchase and check with them. Some may tell you if they have what you want if you call before visiting the store.

Yes I was thinking at least 64gb since the phone I have now is only 16gb and I've had some issues with that.

I only have 3.77 left and 11.88 of my storage is taken up. And my Moto X (First Generation) is only 16gb so I know I need more than that

I only pointed out the correction of the iPhone not having the SD slot because in your original post you stated that it did. Wasn't sure if it was a typo or you thought that it did.

Yes I know and it wasn't a typo. I was trying to say that I know it doesn't like how the phone I currently have also doesn't have an SD card slot.

If you want something OTHER than a 16 GB iPhone it is unlikely a Verizon store will have it in stock. I know Verizon stores in my area don't carry anything other than 16 GB iPhone 6/6+ in stock. All other memory sizes need to be ordered.

Of course, if you make your purchase at an Apple store, it is very likely they will have the size you want in stock.:smileyhappy:

Yes, that is what I do. I just have it sent directly to my home. If you have any level of tech understanding, it is easy to set up at home. If you and tech do not get along, take it to the store to get activated.

You can order from Verizon or Apple. Both end up being the same. If you order from Apple, you can add AppleCare+ at the time of the order, if you are interested in that.

Yes I do have quite a bit of understanding technology. I figure most everything out on my own. But if I need help I ask someone.

I always wonder how they decide what stores get more than just the base model. The main large store in my area (when built a few years ago it was the largest in Georgia and the surrounding region) gets all of the capacities but with it being the largest store it is also the one with the longest wait times because it's always packed. Forget about doing anything on release day lol. I just wish we had an actual Apple Store in my area. We have to drive 120 miles to the only Apple Store that I'm aware of in the state.

Where I live in Vermont in the town that I live in there's only one Verizon store that I know of. But in Massachusetts where I visit sometimes they have two Verizon's. One is much bigger than the other.

We have between 5 and 10 Verizon corporate stores in my area, none of which carry anything more than a 16 GB version of the 6 or 6+. When I purchased 2 iPhones the week before Christmas, the Apple store near me had all sizes in all colors of both the 6 and 6+. Showing up midweek just after they opened at 8AM, I was in and out of the store in about 5 minutes. I was the only customer in the store with about 10 Apple genius's tripping over themselves to wait on me.:smileyhappy:

I see. I can just call and ask before we get them just in case they have to be ordered. Don't want to have to wait if I don't have to. And I'm getting the cases and screen protectors before hand. So I can bring them there once they are purchased.
