Group messaging issues

When group texting, I receive messages anywhere from 3-15 minutes late. When I try to reply the conversation has passed, very aggravating. I group text very frequently. I have cleared my cache and factory reset my phone and still have the same issues. I have tried 3rd party apps but the same thing happens. All my friends use the messaging app that came with our phones and have no problem. I have the S5 and it is up to date with the Lollipop 5.0. Can anyone help

I can't be exact, probably as far back as the beginning of the year. Zip code is 32566. I've called verizon support but nothing ever worked.

I appreciate the insight, Dukbd! May I ask what default messaging app you're using? ( Settings > More Networks > Default Messaging App ) Do you have any issues with other MMS messages? ( ie, picture or video )

I use the messaging app, "messages", that came with the phone. I have tried 3rd party apps like Chomp, Textra, and Handcent and they all do the same thing. Most of my friends use the same app and do not have any problems.

.... and no, I don't have any issues with sending pictures or video.
