My daughter and I both have iPhones when I go on my verizon account to check my usages for messages and phone some of our messages that have been sent are not showing up did I maybe hit something to why this is happening the people we are texting or calling do not have iPhones

If the messages were sent using iMessage, they won't show on the texting log.  Also, messages sent using an app may be counted as data, and not show as text messages.

Phone calls will show, but may not show up immediately, it may take 24 hours or so for the calls and texts (that are not iMessages or data messages) to show up.
