When can I expect Lollipop update for Droid Turbo?
Nothing official has been announced yet, other than it will receive the update.

the responses you're going to get will send you the motorola portal where they will blame it on Verizon then when you come to Verizon they will blame it on motorola it came out in the third quarter of last year and we're in the end of the first quarter I've gotten to the point where if I don't expect anything I won't be letting down bottom line we already bought the phone and we're already stuck in a two year contract
The reason it takes so long is Verizon Motorola has to incorporate Verizon application and make sure it works with the software. They test the software on the product but the testers are incompetent because I knew some of them. That's why they sending soaks out. It really comes down to Verizon being satisfied
Motorola is still coding the app and just started soak testing the code.
Don't hold your breath. I just saw where others are getting 5.1 and here sits the Turbo, nothing.
I just wish the sales rep would have spoke the truth when I Edged up to this phone on March 13. I specifically asked about 5.0 and he stated "you will soon be getting the upgrade". Alas, I learned NEVER to believe what reps tell me. If I had a choice I would take this phone back.
Misconception of soon. Soon can be classed as between now and the end of the world. Soon has no defined time frame. That's why people end up where they are. It's currently under beta testing(I know people who are doing the Motorola thing), but at that point when completed it will be submitted to Verizon. So until Motorola submits something it's up to them.

Is there something wrong with your phone that it's not operational? You knew it had kitkat when you bought it. Chill already.
Receiving regular software updates on a timely basis is a reasonable expectation in this day and age. This phone has been all but abandoned compared to other models released in the same time period. The internals of the Droid Turbo are not all that much different than any other Android smartphone on the market, so why is it so much different? If the Verizon specific software is causing that much of a delay, get rid of it and go with a stock Android experience.
6.0 should be available by the time Motorola, Verizon, Zeus or some other deity releases 5.1 and I'll be ready for another phone. I just moved to Verizon last November and regret not researching T-Mobile and AT&T a bit more.
Verizon "I am the gatekeeper, are you the keymaster"
"Turbo will get Lollipop soon, its safe to buy"
Well, I have to think about paying my bill. First, I have to make the money. Then, I'll want to check my finances. Then, I'll let my wife make sure she doesnt want to spend that money on something for herself. Then, well, I'll make sure my checkbook is balanced. Then, if its not, I'll stop the whole process and start over. Don't worry Verizon, I'll pay you soon.
Verizon reminds me of that commercial with the guy and a fishing pole with a dollar on it. "Here, I found you an update. Whoops, you almost had it. Gotta be quicker than that"
Show me where Verizon lied when they said soon. Soon isn't a predetermined date. Soon can me from Noe to the end of the world. Anyway doesn't matter at this point Motorola said they are working on 5.1 instead of 5.0 and that matters. That was something Motorola decided to do.
That's why you should never put stock in the word soon. Also I always buy a device for what it does today instead of what it could do later. Seems like you guys are all upset at the fact other people got a riddled with problems update and you don't want to be left out over a more stable build and better VoLTE support.
You know, you keep saying soon can be from now to the end of time. No, it can't. By definition soon means "in a short time". Considering major Android updates occur faster than a year, that means soon is an even shorter time. Why would soon mean the end of time. That would be pointless. If soon meant end of time then this would make sense: your phone will get its update at the end of time. See, soon and end of time are not equal. Being told soon has a reasonable meaning within the context in which it is said. Otherwise, the word soon would not exist. Soon should've already hapoened. You know it. I know it. Any reasonable person knows it.

It doesn't mean a short time. People associate it with that doesn't mean it isn't. This has been to court before numerous times since the release of the G1. I have seen a few first hand(coworkers jumped on the bandwagon) and they all crashed and burned because soon really means between now and end of the world.
Anyway wish you the nest of luck. If you ever decide to take it to claims or whatever as soon as Verizon shows what Motorola said the whole case will get dismissed because it was Motorola's choice and their product.
Also releases for major updates have slowed down compared to earlier releases. Google in fact said they are slowing down as well on multiple occasions.
You can ask JBQ about it(former lead Android developer).
I think I found a work around.

I bought the Turbo because of the battery, Definitely bigger, but the phone uses more power. Several annoying, but not life-ending bugs that I would have expected resolved in six months.
I think I'll go with the LG G4 when it comes out with that one. Waiting to find out if 4G LTE is in my area, heck even if it's 4G, still will probably change.
Luciano Carvalho and Kirk Stromberg - Google+ are two guys that work for Motorola.
Also if you know who Punit Soni - Google+ is and what he used to do also mentions Motorola Lollipop updatesFirst of all: peace! :-) There is so much anger… About updates and knows who Luciano Carvalho is.
This isn't like someone saying the work for XYZ without any proof. These are Verified people who work or used to work for Motorola(Punit no longer there, but the other two guys were there when everything was under his watch). So as long as it doesn't violate the NDA they sign they'll say as much information as they can.
Anyway take what you will. I am glad Motorola delayed the update and are going straight to 5.1 over giving out 5.0.X.
Anyone else thought if 5.0 sux so badly, what assurances do we have 5.1 will be any better?
Well the fact that so far the memory leaks and memory management were fixed which helps battery life and stops the radio and various other apps from crashing whether a system app or not is a good thing. I'll take my chances if things run better like it did for my Nexus 5 or Nexus 6.
Friends, I've come to the realization that we won't be getting lollipop until the next better thing comes along. I went through this with the Lumia Icon and the BB Z30. Both had major updates with a lot of features out there, and the updates didn't come out until I'd long given up on them. Lumia Icons update was Cortana, BB Z30s was the ability to run Android apps. Those updates sat on hold for many months.
Next time they release a phone that's "great, powerful, top of the line" and "soon to be updated with a major software update" do your best to not buy it. They are always releasing phones immediately before a major software update. We think "hey, its about to be updated, I'll take the dive". Don't do that again. Let the pre-updated phones sit on the shelves. They do that and get us to take the dive, then make us do this complaining. Some other phones then come out within a month with the update included.
Don't believe the hype. I don't blame devs and never will. The update could be already ready, just sitting there, waiting to be pushed - butttt gotta use timing to make money. Next time, let them keep their 13th hour to major update phones. I'm out.
11th hour, not 13th hour. Maybe I would've used the right term had I had Lollipop. Doubt it.
