Since 21.44.12 update the unread folder on my e-mail refuses to empty even when I select each message and hit delete icon. Also trash folder count won't go lower than 13 even when folder is empty
Are you using the stock email app to sync with a Gmail or other email service? If so, are you syncing that info regularly and do you have setting set to mirror your email messages and folders on the server side? Sometimes settings get awry in that only the phone syncs and not the server, meaning you will have everything on the phone app up to date, but the server has different information. So, if you delete trash from the phone app but the server does not sync that command, then the phone will sync that info everytime until you delete it from he server side.
Stock e-mail, sync every 30 minutes. trash folder on server seems fine. Problem seems to be when I delete from inbox without opening message goes to trash AND unread. Once in unread they keep returning even after I delete them. Trash folder DOES empty but count is always 13 higher than the actual number of messages in it.

No. This is my primary account. I paid a lot for this phone and I expect it to work correctly. As I said this just started after the latest up date
Try shutting down the mail app and clearing both cache and data, reboot phone and restart app. This works in most cases. good luck! Galaxy Class
I have the same problem with 8 droid turbo's for work. We all are having the same problem. Supposedly this occurred after the latest update was installed, per the service rep. This problem did not occur before the update. You cannot delete the unread emails whether its exchange, aol, live, or your isp. Verizon is aware and looking for a fix? Trying a different email client. Now getting double the unread emails that won't delete. Email is essential for our work and if not fixed we will exchange devices.
