Can't play music on galaxy core prime

Just bought a galaxy core prime for my daughter and moved all our music files over to the SD card on the device via my computer. Google music nor Samsung music apps will play the music. Just says "Couldn't play the track you requested." I have tried everything. HELP!!!

What format are the music files in?

MP3/

WAV/

eAAC+/

FLAC

The Galaxy Core Prime says it works with those music file formats.

Seems like all the iTunes ones came over as .wma when I copied from my iTunes folder on my computer. Others I had burned to my computer from cd came as .mp3.

I did the exact same thing on my Samsung galaxy s5 and it worked fine. Same file extensions.

If the music is DRM protected, it won't play unless it is transferred properly.

How do I transfer properly? Mist of the music was purchased on iTunes after apple changed their music so they could be played on non apple devices. I think that was in 2009. Is that what you are talking about?

I am having the same problem. I have a Galaxy Core LTE, and I have been trying to figure out for WEEKS how to transfer my itunes music from my laptop to the phone. I have NEVER had such a difficult, time-consuming device before. I hate this phone. Apparently, you have to download Kies OR SmartSwitch in order to be able to download music from itunes onto your device. I thought I was supposed to download both because nowhere did it tell me that you only use ONE of them and they will interfere with each other. Then, Samsung told me to "follow a link" to see what the PC requirements were.....which I STILL can't locate, so I have no idea WHAT program to use. The User Manual is absolutely useless- it describes WHAT something is.....but doesn't tell you HOW to use it, or HOW to troubleshoot if it doesn't work. Samsung's support is some of the worst I have ever seen. I am going to try to return this thing and go back to Blackberry.
