All I have and want is a basic phone which I just bought from verizon..My old phone is the same...I want to know how my old phone can transfer my contacts to my NEW phone when my old phone ios crashed and dont work( nThats why I got a new one???!!!!

Did you use Backup Assistant on the old phone to back up the contacts to Verizon?  If so, you can use Backup Assistant on the new phone to sync from Verizon.  Otherwise, there might not be another way without re-entering them all again.
