Phone won't turn on

My phone died at some point during the night last night and has been on the charger since 4:30am(EST) it is not 2:35pm(EST) and my phone still will not turn on. Is there anything I can do to save it or is it a lost cause? Any advice would be much appreciated

Do you keep your device backed up? If the content is backed up and your not worried about losing anything try putting your phone into recovery mode. It is worth a shot.
