People that I text (using message+) have been complaining that my messages are coming through multiple times, even though I only send them once. How do I stop my phone from "stuttering"?
Eemom2000, I can undertand the concern here. Let's make sure we get the text messages back on track. Has this just started to happen? Is it send out the double text to every one that you text? Please keep me posted. I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi,
Thanks for the response. No, it happened once a couple months ago when my daughter (also a verizon customer and uses an iPhone). I thought it was a fluke because after I showed her that I only sent the comments once, she never mentioned it again. But she showed me that the same message came through 4 times. But recently some of my other contacts (all Verizon customers, and all iPhone users I just found out) have complained of messages repeating multilple times (like 3 or more times). So it seems that there is, at least, one common thread. I did find a post where it recommended deleting the conversation, then powering down the phone. I tried it with one contact to see if it resolved the issue, it did not. He just sent me a screen shot of a double messge. I just recently got the big Lollipop 23.11.39 en update (a really cheesy update in terms of colors chosen by the way, but that is a whole other discussion) so I don't know if that has contributed to it.
in settings app mgr go to all tab and look for messages or Verizon messages click force stop /clear data then reopen app and resend after power cycle of phone
