fb confirmation

I used the facebook mobile texts for awhile, but recently switched my phone (not my number) now it wouldn't work. So I tried to confirm my phone but i can't get a confirmation code. I didn't know if it was a verizon policy or something. It's really frustrating.

Changing your phone should not have any effect on receiving FB texts....we've made phone switches and not had an issue. Are you using the same texting plan? You changed phones from what to what? Are you able to receive other text messages?

I'm having the same problem. I used to get updates through texts, but it stopped working. Now when I try to send a text to Facebook to get a confirmation code, I get nothing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Facebook has changed profiles, settings, privacy policies, etc a lot over the last few months. Go into your settings / privacy settings, and your mobile notifications, and see if things are still set up the way you had them before. If not, then you may need to redo some settings.

You contacts may have also changed THEIR privacy settings, so now you are not getting information based on what they have allowed or not allowed....

I've also had this issue. Regardless of whether you even have a profile, sending the letter F to 32665 should bring back a reply with a confirmation code. I took my number off to re-add it to my profile, because I stopped receiving texts and thought this may remedy it, but now I can't add it back because I no longer receive any texts at all from Facebook. Any other numbers work, including twitter. I have a 321 area code, if that helps any.

yea i did the same...this problem just keeps getting bigger and bigger! fb and verizon need to get this fixed! its been since before christmas i started having these problems and no solution yet! argh!
