video keeps on shutting down (LG Tablet)

Hello,

I have had a LG G Pad 10.1 LTE for a year now. The last few days, the video started shutting down after a few minutes. It happens with youtube, netflix, other apps but also with Skype.

I have looked for updates : my tablet is up to date.

I have tried turning it off and back on : didn't do the trick.

I don't know if that could explain anything but it started acting up while on vacations in Canada (still there). I don't have service from verizon obvisouly but I use the wifi so it should be working fine.

If anyone can help, would be greatly appreciated! Thanx

I have been to Canada many times since i first wrote this post and actually nothing works on the tablet, I cannot even watch a movie that's in my media files. It keeps on shutting down every few minutes as well.

I went to a Verizon store. They said it is normal, that I cannot use the tablet outside of the US unless I purchase an international plan.

I am really disappointed not to be able to use my tablet outside of the US and if I had known that, I wouldn't have taken a tablet with Verizon.

Aodrenn, we definitely want you to enjoy the device wherever you are. Let’s look more into. Any recent application installed prior to this happening? Please clear the cache and the data for the application. Settings>Application Manager>All Tab>Select the applications>Clear cache/data then Force stop. Let us know how it works.

No, no new app. Clearing cache didn't help.

Any battery savers or task killers installed to the tablet? Have the developer options in Settings been turned on and messed with by anyone?

Nothing has been installed recently.No one touches that tablet so nothing has been changed in the settings.

I updated the apps but it didn't change anything. I don't think it comes from the apps since all apps including videos have the same issue (youtube but also netflix, TV channel apps, skype...). The video doesn't last more than 3 minutes, then it shuts down.

Hello,

So I went back to Canada and used another wifi connection but the same thing happened.

I even realized that it also happens while browsing the internet, the page updates itself or goes back to the previous page.

It's a bit annoying not to be able to use my tablet while traveling.

This is definitely disheartening to see that you are still having wifi connectivity problems while in Canada. We surely don’t want anyone to experience this. When it comes to troubleshooting another network such as wifi, Verizon Wireless wouldn’t know why this isn’t working. Do you have an international data plan on your account, so that you can enjoy your devices while out of the country with our data connection? Have you been able to contact the internet provider in Canada to have them troubleshoot with you?
