How do I activate a back up phone. We misplaced a iPhone 5s and want to activate a iPhone 4 we saved in case this happened.
For iPhone 4 and 4S you do not need a SIM card for Verizon. iPhone 5 and later all need SIM cards. So you are good to go online, then do a *228
You will need to go get a SIM card for your number at a Verizon store.
