How do I get more rings on my iPhone 6 plus? It only rings 3 times then goes to voicemail. I need 6-10 more. Thank you
It's set by the system at roughly 30 seconds and can't be changed.
I saw a thread on here somewhere where a person had contacted customer support and they had increased the number of rings his phone would do before going to voicemail.
Yes, the rep suggested it be lengthened, but I'm not sure it was actually done.
Yet another service or feature that would be useful for someone with hearing problems like myself.
For as advanced as we are now with the iPhone six it should be in settings we should be able to change our rings whenever we feel like it I had to change it to eight I'm with Verizon but they can only do it temporarily for one day. This means I have to call them every day.
My old flip phone could change rings, but 8 years later, the IPhone 6 Plus doesn't. Did they just not have room for it? You would think it could be changed with the next update. Anyway, I rant. Thanks for all the input I do appreciate it! Be well
I have hearing problems too, so I can relate.
I wonder if you canceled voicemail if that would increase it.

Wow! That's crazy.
I tried to quote your post so you would know what I was replying to and my post turned out "wonky" looking. LOL, sorry.
I would think that the first step in setting the number of rings would be on Verizon's end, since it's their network the calls must pass through to the phone. Next I would think maybe a phone could set the number of rings or time to the farthest number Verizon would allow before going to voicemail, but I cant see a phone having more than Verizon would allow. Weakest link in the chain theory here.
Another option is to change the ringtone from one that repeats to a song that plays continuously; there is no "number of rings", it plays a song until you pick up or it goes to voicemail.
Change carriers.
ATT lets wireless customers modify how long phone rings before call goes to voicemail.

For wireless customers, Verizon sets it at 30 seconds, and doesn't care what you want. See 'official' answer in another thread:
Number of times phone rings before going to voicemail
Irritatingly, Verizon allows 'home' (landline) to control how long the phone rings before going to voicemail. Maybe their goal is to get us to go back to using landlines?
