Why no 'Auto Restart' feature on Note 5?

Auto Restart is a great maintenance/performance feature to have on a phone. My friend has a different carrier and his Note 5 has the Auto Restart feature in the settings. Why does my Note 5 not have the 'Auto Restart' feature in the 'Backup and Reset' options in the 'Settings'?

Well primarily, I'm having a problem with the top left corner of my screen becoming unresponsive at random times. I have to resort to restarting my phone to fix the issue (which is quite annoying). I also found out that for some reason Verizon Note 5 phones don't have the "Auto Restart" feature, which is quite a bummer because restarting the phone is a great way to conserve battery life by terminating apps running in the background, freeing RAM and allowing proper installation of new software updates and app updates.

Which Version does he have? I have 2 of them one international and one T-Mobile and they both don't have this auto restart feature you speak of or at least I can't seem to find.

Being that this issue occurs at random times, when it does happen, that top left corner of the screen becomes unresponsive on ALL apps. I do have a Otterbox Defender Series case, however, when I take the case off the screen issue continues, so its not a screen protector issue. Just to worsen the situation, I purchased TWO Note 5's (2 weeks ago) and both have the same issue. How can 2 BRAND NEW devices have the same issue? Is it manufacturer defect? If so, since its been 2-3 weeks since I purchased both phones do I get 2 BRAND NEW ones (NOT REFURBISHED)?
