Recently updated LgV10 with software update VS99011B. Ever since, phone battery has been draining rapidly (in about 5 hours when on, but not being used). Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone know how to fix it?
Thank you,
mike27072,
Software updates are meant to improve your experience with your phone, but it sounds like it's doing just the opposite for you. How long ago did you complete the software update? Has there been any other changes to what you're using on your phone since the update was installed (ie new apps or app updates)? Please check your phone to see what's reporting the most battery usage by going to Settings > Battery and let us know what's showing up.

Do you have most of the features disabled when not using them? Things like location, Bluetooth, NFC and such will consume battery even when not being used. Also, some have noted that enabling HD and Video calling decreased their battery life as well.
If you look at your battery usage, what is consuming the most battery?
This update was primarily for LG-branded apps, and less of an update to the Google OS. You can try a full cache and misc files clean up in Settings-Storage. In this doesn't solve the issue, backing up files and resetting then restoring WITHOUT app and app data restoration is most likely the best course of action. You can re-download fresh copies of the apps without the conflicting app data from the Play Store under your account later.
It's happening to me as well
