I got a Galaxy Core Prime phone last week and I'm trying to sync the phone to my laptop. I loaded the Verizon Cloud Apps to both my phone and PC, and I can get the photos and contact created on my new phone to the Cloud, but from there I can't get it to my PC. The Cloud App on my PC created a "Verizon Cloud Sync" folder in Favorites and I have the Verizon Cloud Dashboard, but I have been unable to do an actual sync and move any picture or contact into that folder. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
On a related note, I told the Verizon support person I would be happy to transfer content from my phone through my PC USB port using the power cord. We tried that as well, and the PC would not recognize the phone. The phone just started charging through the cable and that was it. We then downloaded th Samsung driver for this phone and resarted the PC, but still it would not recognize the phone. I tested a flash drive in the USB port and my PC recognized it just fine, so it is not the port - it's the phone.
It seems that moving pictures, contacts and other stuff from my phone to my PC (by something other than email!) should be pretty basic, but I have about 4 hours into trying to do this without a single success. Help!!!
