Why does Verizon not offer us, it's customers unlimited data? When I bought my phone I was told by the representative there that if I wanted to get unlimited data, he said to go to eBay , search for Verizon unlimited data plans, which I did and there you can buy unlimited data phones from other Verizon customers who we're grandfathered into Verizon. which means these customers had been with Verizon so long their reward was unlimited data. Now that being said Verizon has an AOL (assumption of liability department ) that will switch the unlimited data phone u buy off eBay to your name assuming that u will now carry on that phones monthly payment plan. Now u can have unlimited data, cost anywhere from $500-$3000.00 usd for those phones. Verizon says that it's network cannot handle unlimited data, yet more than 10 years ago at the peak of cell phone sales they offered it to their customers who had been there for a while. Do they offer anything like that today? No, they don't and I feel discriminated against for not being equally treated as past customers. Does this seem fair to you as a current customer? We pay hundreds of dollars per phone and I personally pay hundreds of dollars a month for services rendered yet Verizon is too poor to maintain a network that can handle data efficiently . Data is a way of life for me (because I'm a truck driver) as it is for anyone who has their service because we did by smart phones , to use apps and stream, look up, and view things online with these devices because again we bought smart phones. If all we wanted was to make phone calls and text, well you can do that with a flip phone. Again being online is now a way of life no matter who you are, what u do, or how old you are yet companies like Verizon price gouge it's customers which by the way is illegal into offering minimal services while keeping rates for said services high. Price gouging is raising the rates on things you need when you need them the most, like data, which we all need, well I do just to do my job daily and everyone if they are honest, NEEDS data. It's now a way of life for EVERYONE, YET to Verizon you simply aren't important enough to cater to your needs as efficiently as they should or could even though you are a reliable source of revenue every single month. Verizon has great service, they do, but when they start offering you only half of what you want, then I suppose for me, it's time to look elsewhere for services I feel are important to me. Maybe you should do the same or better yet maybe Verizon should change and embrace what we all want including their own employees.
