Was over on WindowsCentral.com looking at their "Best Phones of 2016" and just about lost it when I started reading up on the new HP Elite x3 Windows 10 phone.
They just unveiled it at MWC last month and all I can say is WOW!!!
It is designed as an "Enterprise" level phone, but it has what have to be THE BEST specs of any phone made right now, bar none.
Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, 2TB capable Micro-SD card slot, 4100mAH battery (only thing I don't like is it's sealed case, but it is water and dust resistant to MIL specs). Continuom enabled and add-on accessory dock for said use.
Coolest part was a basically a ultra-book laptop shell that you connect the phone to, which then provides a 14in display, plus it's own battery and additional USB and UBS-C ports.
This phone is targeted toward the business sector as an all-in-one device, eliminating separate laptop, tablet, and phone devices.
It will be a beast and is just the first in what will hopefully be more high-end Win10 phones in the coming months and years.
My question is this. Is Verizon going to finally realize that BUSINESSES want and need phone like this, not the Swiss cheese for security Android garbage and out-dated Iphones? Hopefully they will wise up finally and release their death grip on OS updates so MS phones can lead the way to better phones.
It would benefit their company and their stock holders, so it's a win-win all around.
