I can't retrieve all of my emails. Especially the ones that are in folders. Can you help

Has always been this way. When I open a folder it will open and say it's loading emails. Then it comes back and says I have no emails in that folder. Should I log out of the email and then log back in? If so, how do I log out. Thanks

I depend on my e-mails most of the time so I can understand how inconvenient this may be. Is this an e-mail account you added to the phone when it was set up or was it added through a third party app? Are you able to view those folders without an issue from your computer? Please keep us posted.
