I'm trying to find a fix for my Droid RAZR. It seems that the phone keeps freezing. I've done a factory reset. I've cleared the cache. The problem persists. I've taken it into a local store and they've said nothing can be done for it.
drewsonfire,
We are not giving up on this. We want to get your phone up and running. Where does the phone freeze at? Are you in a particular application when this happens? When you reset your device did you restore everything on your device again?

Hey Robyn,
It's freezing on EVERYTHING! It seems like a bug in the operating
system. It freezes on just about every application: Facebook, Google
Maps, Gmail, texting, messaging, etc. The browser is so slow, I really
never even try to surf the internet with it. The other day I tried to
answer an incoming call, and the home screen wouldn't allow me to
answer. I've cleared the cache for almost every application. I've done a
factory reset. I've run and AVG antivirus scan. The other day, I reset
the phone and turn on safe mode. Things seemed to be a bit better, but
not like it was when I first bought it.
I've ran a system update, and it says that my system is up to date.
System Version: 98.72.165.XT912.Verizon.en.US
Model Number: Droid RAZR
Android Version: 4.1.2
Build number: 9.8.20-72_VZW-16-5
Build Date: Thu Nov 21 14:10:17CST 2013
Any suggestions?
Oh my goodness, drewsonfire! You have done a lot of troubleshooting. We appreciate it. It helps us and leads us in the right direction. When you have done the factory reset on the device have you signed back into your gmail account and readded the applications? If so, we want you reset the device and then not sign back in. Then you can download the applications one by one. By running the device in Safe Mode it leads us to believe it is an application issue. We want to see where we have the issue in a certain applications. Keep us posted on your progress.
