where to buy a Verizon phone

I'm wondering if there are any good sources to purchase an Android a CDMA phone for Verizon, that is NOT from Verizon. I'm hoping to find better pricing elsewhere, however, I have not been able to find many options for discounted phones aside from ebay and similar sites that sell open box or various grades of used phones. Curious to know what other options VZN customers may have found. thanks in advance for any input you can provide.

Have you a budget?

HAve you considered a Nexus 5x from Google? The price is 350 for 16 GB or $400 for 32 GB. This is the mid-size phone.

The Nexus 6p is about $100 more and has more storage and is larger.

If you like a phablet, the Nexus 6 is about the same price for a 32 GB or 64 GBs on Amazon, or new on ebay.

All three are unlocked for any carrier in the USA and have all LTE bands. They work with HD voice on Verizon.

I Bought the Nexus 6p and love it.

IF you shop carefully, you can find new Verizon phones on eBay.

Look on Swappa. It's a trustworthy site for used phones and they break the selection down by carrier. They list condition, accessories included, and even have a graph that shows the pricing trend of recent sales for each model phone.

I prefer Android over the fruit phone and restrictions that come with the fruit company's products in general.

thanks, @mama23dogs - thinking spending $400 - $450 - mostly, I don't want to spend $600+ for a phone since I have 4 phones on my plan. Since i buy phones for the others users on my plan a lower price is preferred provided that the phone performance is acceptable. I have found that it is difficult get a phone to last much more than 2 years without performance issues (most notably latency).

I Think the 5x is a good option in the $350 range.

Unfortunately GSM networks have more options. I could list a couple excellent phones, NEW, in the $200 range, but they have no CDMA bands.

The Nexus 5x looks interesting, but it I were going Android it would be the Nexus 6P. I think the increase in price over the 5x is warranted given the outstanding specs of the 6P.
