If I am on a 3 way Group Text with Friend A and Friend B, I can't receive texts from Friend A, but if I am on a 4 way text with Friend D added, I CAN see Friend A's texts. I have Note 4 using Verizon. Any Ideas?
I love group messaging as well, rfneylan. You should be able to see everyones messages. Does one of your friends have an iPhone? Also cellular data must be on when group messaging. Is everyones cellular data on? Or is Friend A on WiFi?

I believe that the Friend with the issue has an iPhone and we are all using Wifi. But that doesn't explain why the issue is only with the 3 way group text and not the 4 way group text. And I have 3 and 4 way group texts with family members that are iPhone users using wifi with no problem. It is just this one case.
Thanks for the additional information Robert. When using messaging group with different operating system group members (Android and iOS), there may be some issues if the iOS (iPhone) user is sending messages via iMessage which is not supported by Android devices. What text messaging application are you using?I personally use group messaging with many friends, and to avoid any compatibility issues we use specific messaging application compatible with both operating systems, like Facebook messenger, Google Hangouts, WhatsApp, and others.

I use the "Messages" application. Again, it doesn't seem like the messaging application is the issue on other phone since I can receive Friend A's texts in a 4 way group text, just not in a separate 3 way group text.
