6.0 Marshmallow update?

So, why did Verizon pull the marshmallow update right after announcing it? It's kind of a coincidence that it was somewhat in the same timeframe that Motorola announced that the DROID Max/ Mini/Ultra won't be getting the Lollipop update, but instead a $100.00 towards a new device. Why?

Motorola was the one made the choice. The decision was made after lenovo took over and fired a large portion of Motorola employees. There's other threads about nonupdates by Motorola and I saw it coming when they fired employees

I appreciate your quick response... But, it still doesn't explain why. Lenovo doing a little house cleaning after taking control of Motorola doesn't give an explanation.

Yes it does when you layoff 2/3 of your development team.

Carriers DO NOT code for the devices they sell. The manufacturer does. Carriers buy into a set of option set by the manufacturer and they manufacturer incorporate the code. If the manufacturer doesn't develop an update you will not get the update.

The manufacturer at the time of the soak test and before that was Motorola. Besides that, I'm pretty sure Lenovo brought in enough of their own people to take up the slack that they created after canning 1/2 of Motorola. In laymen's term the deal was already on the table when Lenovo showed up... Ask some of the Verizon employees who had/has the Droid Turbo 2 that got the 6.0 Marshmallow update.
