One option is to export the contacts out of the Verizon Cloud and into your Gmail account.
You should be able to open up your contacts and then export them. I get the option of exporting them to SIM car, internal storage and SD card. Pay attention to where it saves it to and then just email that file to whatever email address the tablet has access to. Then all you have to do is save it and import it from there.
I'm using the stock contacts and don't use the Verizon cloud, but should help.
