Not receiving text on Android Razr Maxx HD?

I have an Android Razr Maxx HD (version 4.4.2) phone and use Verizon Messages to view and send text messages. For the past 3 or 4 months randomly I do not receive text on my phone, but when I log into my verizon message account the messages are there. It has happened with multiple contacts during the day. I do not find any correlation and it is very frustrating. I have to continually log into "my verizon message account" on the web to check if I am getting any new messages. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Holly, we certainly do not want you frustrated. Don't worry, we're here to help you fix this issue. What I want you to do is disable the Verizon Meassages account.

Log into My Verizon> Go into Verizon Messages> Click the menu in the top left corner> click on the device you have linked to Verizon Messages and then remove it.

Keep it disabled for a couple of days to monitor the texts. If the texts start to come in as normal then we know it was Verizon messages. If they still are not working correctly, then we can continue with some troubleshooting.

There are no devices under the "manage devices" on Verizon messages. Not sure why?????/

Is Messages+ set as the default messaging app on your phone? When you set up the desktop app on you r computer, did you get a text sent to your phone to verify that your computer was a legit connection?

Maybe uninstalling and then reinstalling the desktop app on your computer will help?
