I can't access my voicemail anymore after switching phones?

I had a basic phone, LG Octane until about a week ago when I switched to an LG Lancet smartphone. I try calling my voicemail and all I get is a noise like when you call a number that isn't working (broken line?) I don't know how to fix it it was working just fine before I switched.

I understand the importance of staying connected and accessing your messages, Jeweliamj. Were you presented an option for Visual Voice Mail on the new device? Are you dialing *86 or pressing the specific voicemail button?
