Galaxy Core Prime Sometimes Doesn't Turn on After Plugging in USB Cable

How do I fix the problem of Galaxy Core Prime not turning on sometimes after holding power button when a USB cable is plugged in? When this happens, the battery has to be removed and placed back into the phone in order for the phone to turn on when holding the power button. Is the battery or phone infected, if not, then what is the problem?

Actually found out that it still turns on when plugging in USB cable but sometimes when USB cable is plugged in, power button needs to be held on longer than usual in order to turn on the device. This occurs when there's no battery icon when the phone is charging. This has only recently started occurring.
