My mifi is slow >..>

i was told by a employee in my town that i could use this for online gaming and have full bars on my xbox 360 but everytime i play i get red bar to yelloww to full bars to red and i lag >.> is there anyway i can make my mifi's signal better or make it faster it downloads wicke d slow >.> took me about an hour to download AIM i think its stupid to pay so much for the device if its as slow as a regular dial up modem... what can i do

Try updating the PRL on the device.

Ensure the device is inserted / connected to the computer.

Launch VZAccess Manager.

From the Windows desktop navigate: Start > Programs (All Programs) > VZAccess Manager.

From the Macintosh desktop navigate: Finder > Applications > VZAccess Manager.

From the Linux desktop navigate: Applications > Internet > VZAccess Manager.

From the VZAccess Manager top menu, navigate Options > Activation.

For Macintosh: from the Menu Bar, navigate Options > Activation.

Try repositioning the device in a different location.

In the VZManager...how many bars are shown for EVDO? If you do not have adequate EVDO signal, you will be connected at 1xRTT which is about like dial-up. The recommendation in previous post may resolve this unless you are just too far from a 3g tower.
