My Razor MX HD keeps turning on and off when connected to charger

My old Razor Max HD turns off and on when connected to charger. I tried holding down the power button, but no help. Then I tried Power and Vol -+, but the green light blinked faster but wasn't sure how long to do that, so I gave up. Any suggestions out there? Thanks.

RC21P, let's get to the bottom of this. Have you checked the charging port for any damage or debris?
