I am new here and wondering why the recent update switched phone contacts back to an old list? There are duplicates in my Groups and missing people and I can't delete old ones. Totally frustrating.
I lost one of my bank account access. How do you stop these wrecking updates?
The best way is to do a factory data reset prior to installing the update, then reload all your installed apps from the store and not from backup. I've been doing it this way for years and have not had any problems.
You should check your contacts app's settings to display only the source you use mainly for contacts...IE...Gmail/Google account, MSN, Yahoo, Verizon...whichever source you use, display only that one, not all.
I'm not sure why you'd lose access to a bank account because of an update, but updates are required and while you can postpone them for a couple weeks, they do eventually auto-install.
