Only some of my Google contacts stopped syncing. Text messages and calls that would normally be identified as a contact show up as a number only and do not appear in my Contacts. This started happening only a week or so ago and only seems to be affecting certain contacts.
Yes, I tried stopping sync with my Google account and then re-syncing. The syncs usually appear to happen with no issues.
Yes, I tried syncing over WiFi.
Yes, I tried clearing my cache/app data for Gmail, Contacts, and Calendar.
Yes, the contacts in question were set up as Google contacts. Oddly enough, they show up just fine when I log onto Gmail and select Contacts on my PC.
Yes, I have selected "All contacts" as the 'Contacts to show' option. (I tried Google contacts also, with no change.)
Yes, I tried downloading Contacts Sync Fix app. It did not find any broken contacts.
This is an extremely annoying bug and affects my day-to-day business.
I am slightly annoyed at Verizon's customer service, yet again. I honestly don't know why I stay with them in light of all the changes they've been making, much to my detriment. The fact that I have to wade through page after page of "helpful" suggestions to register for a Community account (was the Verizon Wireless account I am logged into not good enough?) to ask a question to a community that will undoubtedly tell me to do one of the things I've listed as already having did, above, isn't helping.
