4.6/5.0 OS for Blackberry Curve 8330 ?

Hello,

I currently have 4.5 175 OS . It runs okay, but time to time it seems to run sluggish. I have not downloaded any apps or game. i mostly check emails and go on the web. Is the 4.6 Or even 5.0 OS release for the Curve 8330 if not will it be available for this device?

There is no plan for a 5.0 version from verizon. Instead they released the Curve II with a 5.x OS installed.

I also have a 8330 and upgraded to a hybrid OS 5.0.0.608 and my phone runs great. If you delete all the core & 3rd party apps that you don't want or need, such as language support for languages you don't even speak, BB Maps (since they don't work on a Verizon BB 8330), VAD, etc., you can save a ton of memory. Also, you can install the default ringtones to your memory card and delete them off your phone. I used the hybrid OS from the Nanthanix website. Once you go hybrid, you will never go back. Hope this helps breath new life into your old 8330.
