Can't redownload Facebook to my 7 plus.

Today my Facebook app kept freezing up. So I deleted the app off my phone and went to redownload it, and instead of letting me download it, it says "open". The app is not even on my phone!!! Also in my settings it says it's installed, once again it's not. I've restarted my phone and tried turning it on and off. It didn't work. I'm thinking it could be the app. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there a solution?

Did you do a hard reset - Pressing the sleep/wake button on the right side and the down volume button on the left side together until the phone reboots. Make sure you close all open apps by double clicking home and swiping up each app until all closed.

If that doesn't work, you may need to restore from recent back up either iTunes or icloud.

Yes, I've tried that. It didn't work. I have read that this is happening to other people too.

Did you resolve your issue? I've had an app get stuck before and I would go in stop the download and connect to Wi-Fi and download it again. It sounds like your situation is a tad different.
