I just got my MIFI 7730L. I currently also have an AC791L which is provided by my work. So I am able to compare both devices re: performance.
The MIFI 7730L is very responsive. However, when hooked up to my DVD running Netflix or Huluplus, after 25 to 30 minutes it just quits. The screen goes blank and after a few minutes, I am able to start it up again. Performance is always good, no slowing or video loading message at all. But it quits and then I have to get it going again. I always see it showing 4 MBPS or so right up until it just quits.
When I switch to the AC79L, I do not have this problem at all.
I am wondering if I connect the MIFI 7730L with a cable to the DVD, will this problem be solved? I have a few days to swap it out for the AC791L which I have had since last fall and been happy with it. But the store suggested I try this new one and I do think it is faster in general.
I am just mystified over the stopping issue. I did run a movie last night with it and it did NOT do that...I had it plugged in charging at the time. But after the move I started a one hour show and it was back to bombing out after 25 minutes. Both of them were Netflix and like I say, when I switched to the other MIFI that problem did not occur.
Any thoughts?
We live in a rural area and I am lucky that Verizon works here for me and these hotspots are really good. Just trying to maximize performance!
