HP Mini Netbook Data Plan

I just brought a HP Mini Netbook from Verizon.I got the plan that allows me 250 MB a month. I"ve had my netbook less than a week and my usage is already run out. I don"t do alot of down loading ..go on FB and play games mostly.But I also have a desk top computer so the netbook is not used to much. How could I have used all my 250 mb in less than a week.I was told this amount would be more than I would use in a month. Don"t want to upgrade, and then have to much usage not used.Any thoughts as to what is going on?

There used to be a 250 Meg plan for 3G modems and notebooks, I still have it but it is a TERRIBLE value at $39.99. The old 5 Gig plan was $59.99, now it is $50 so obviously it is a far better value but still too high. What I don't understand is why the H*** VZW soesn't let netbook users choose the remaining tablet plans $20/1Gig or $35/3 gig. Along with the 5 Gig and 10 Gig plans that would make a fairly decent value-for-dollar proposition. Not only that, but you can tether yhese tablets to notebooks free of additional charge, but you have to PAY an extra $20/mo for 2 Gig on a smartphone to tether.

These inconsistencies in pricing are just nuts. As a netbook user i think it is stoally unreasonable that i shouldn't have access to the same data plans that tablets have if they are a better value than what I am now getting. Seems to me if 10 Gig is $80 then 5 Gig should be $40, $20 should be 2 Gig. $30 unlimited smartphone plan should INCLUDE a 2 Gig tethering allowance at no additional charge.

And while we're at it, I'd like to see the return of $30/200 min and 20/100 minute voice plans. I seldom use more than 150 minutes a month yacking on the phone.

When you are not using the Netbook Mini make sure the connection is off and that there is nothing running in the background that may connect to the web.

Once the device is connected any service that uses automatic updates will connect to the network using the connection.

250 mb per month is not enough. 5 GB is not enough for most people. So far this month I've used 16.7 GB and have 3 days to go. Fortunately, most of that is on Charter cable.

On Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband Plans page, I can only see 5GB and 10GB data plans for netbooks. Is there a 250MB plan available? I currently have 5GB data plan on my netbook. Will I be able to downgrade to 250MB as I don't use broadband that much?
