Why am I having issues with my my pixel XL software update?

I'm having trouble downloading an update for my pixel phone I got it on the 21st of October and the update is 48.2mb in size and when I go to update it I keep getting couldn't update installatiuon problem I have tried everything I even factory reset the phone and waited a day still the same thing anyone have any ideas should I exchange it seems to be a manufacturing defect or something

up to date everything running smooth best phone I've had well besides the

s7 edge but all good thank you all

Have you tried taking the sim card out and then updating? This is weird. Makes no sense why it would say that the update failed.

I have not tried taking the sim out yet but I will give that a try I know

right this is a first I went to Verizon and Google about it both said just

wait it will push thru but it's been over 2 weeks so something is up

Factory reset is best option. try it a second time if you have not. You should call Verizon for replacement device.

Reboot your wifi? BTW, did you get the 32 or 128gb? 58+gb is a pretty hefty update size for the brand new system....isn't it?

They said 48.2 MB, not GB.

So you has a s7 edge? I traded in a s7 edge for the xl 128. I still have one but I'm not a fan of touch wiz , matter of fact I hate it. I loved htc but everyone I have talked to loves this phone. I like my edge but the battery isn't what they say it is and the camera isn't either . sometimes it takes awesome pictures and other times my m8 looks better.. so what do you think.
