Can't load music on Samsung Note 7 thru USB cable from PC

So far I haven't found a way to load music from my PC to the Note 7. When hooked up to the PC via usb cable, the PC can recognize the phone, however cannot further communicate. Internet explorer gets a blank screen when connected to the phone. There is no communication or file transfers to the phone after many attempts. I don't understand what the problem is - every phone I've had has been able to communicate back and forth with a PC.

What is the solution? Help!!

Did you pull down the notification bar to open the notification shade and change the USB charging to File Transfer?

Let's get those files in the fast lane to your device. Are you ensuring you're selecting File Transfer when connected with USB? The default option should be charging, and you'd need to select the correct USB option each time you plug the device in.
