I ordered my pixel xl 128 the 28th . Received a ship date of 1/6 . I was wondering if they have shipped any or have they not received any stock at all?
I didn't order on black friday, but I did order on 12/21 and was told my ship date would be 1/20. I checked online a few days later and my ship date is now 2/10!

I ordered my on Black Friday (Pixel XL 128GB, "Quite Black") and the date was set at 01/06/2017 (tomorrow) from the get-go. I chatted with an online VZW rep on Tuesday (01/03) about it. At first, he just told me what I already could see on my order status, that it was going to ship on 01/06. Then, I told him that I knew there were a lot of orders being pushed back after the shipping date had come and gone because, so he then went and checked their inventory. He said that they had stock the day before, but now it showed that the stock was "low" so that must mean they have prepared a bunch more orders for this week. I still haven't received any word of my order shipping yet, so I very skeptical that this "inventory check" was of any use. I guess I'll find out tomorrow...

I had almost the exact same conversation. The representative are given answers all across the board . One told me mine is definitely going out the 6th if that's what it says and the other told me they haven't replenished their stock. Who know what to believe . I have spoke. With others that have the same ship date S us ND theirs shipped yesterday.
I ordered on 11/25 (black friday) and my "expected" ship date is today, 01/06/2017. No emails or anything on my account saying it's shipping today so far and a call into Verizon wasn't any help. They basically said in a day or two if it doesn't show shipped, call us back and we'll try and get you a definitive ship date. Oh well, guess it's a waiting game, not that I had much faith they would ship it on time. I've seen all the articles about how much in short supply the Pixel XL 128gb's are.
What's bad is I spoke with a Verizon representative.a t 330 who said he looked into my account and checked with his supervisor and confirmed it would ship today before 430. But yet no email or message status still the same . I won't be surprised if it doesn't ship. Actually I will be surprised if it does.
If you follow this REDDIT thread there are people that ordered on 11/25 that were supposed to have a 1/6 delivery date that they are now getting new delivery dates of 3/10.

I seriously am going to raise holy hell if I am going to be waiting 3 - 4 month for a frigging phone that Verizon can't keep reasonable delivery expectations for.
I just got an email from Verizon bumping my date back to 3/10, just like you said.
I understand that backorders happen, but their handling of this mess is just ridiculous. At this point, the only reason I'm not cancelling my order is because I'm getting such a great deal on the phone and my current phone is still functioning OK... for now (I have a LG G4 and am on my third warranty replacement due to the infamous LG boot looping issue).
I am in the exact same boat. They are giving me $569.99 for my LG G4 (already once bootlooped.)
I guess that is karma ... they give me a great trade in deal on a [removed] phone and in return they ship it to me when it is already antiquated.
You truly suck Verizon. Thanks for nothing.

Ordered two XL /128s on Nov 25. Has been shown as shipping on Jan 6 (today). Guess what? Just got email from Verizon that a new shipping date is March 10! So, from order to shipping will be at least four months.
The question is: Can I cancel the order? I feel like my chances would be better if I order from Google. Any opinions?
It looks like everyone who ordered the 128GB pixel XL on black Friday now has a ship date of march. if anyone ordered it later their ship date should be later
OK got the email , not getting it till March. So I didn't want to wait till March so I cancelled the order , after the order was cancelled then the representative tells me I will have to pay back 400 of the 649. Trade in credit I received because I broke the trade agreement . Even when Verizon can't deliver the phone . So I was forced to make another order so I don't have to pay back the money. I would have never traded my s7 edge for 249. But they said they couldn't give me my phone back. What's bad is I spoke with a representative who told me 100% I would be getting my phone shipped out. That day . He said he even checked with his supervisor to make sure. I was just lied too that is the worst. Part and now I have to go to the back of the list because he said he could change the canceled order . Just. Great!! I have been. Customer for 19 years and this is the thanks I get . I have a corporate account with 7 lines and a personal account .Plus my original order was back in November. Go Big Red
Been with them at least 15 years myself and now I put myself on the wait list on Google. So if it becomes available before March 10th, I'll buy from them and since their insurance is one payment of $99 for two years, i'ts less than half the price.
So Verizon will be losing $40-$50 a month each on 2 phones (paying off what little is left on my wife's phone next month and probably buying the Pixel XL for her too from Google.
Waiting 4 months on an order of a new phone that was released at least a month or two before I placed my order on Black Friday is just inexcusable. Seriously looking at T-Mobile since almost all streaming doesn't count against data.
I ordered mine on Nov. 23rd with a promise date of 1-06. How excited I was on the 6th when I logged into my Verizon account to see the order processing. But no, not an hour later I get an email saying it will now be 3-10. My Verizon store rep blamed it on Google of course. Such very poor customer service. No wonder Consumer Reports rated them so poorly. I could change to T-Mobile, but they have just raised their least expensive plan to $70. The other cell company options have poor service in my area. I am at a loss as to how a company can release a phone and not have a reasonable expectation to ship on time. I am beside myself, Verizon is just such a poor company. So now I have to decide like many of you, is it worth changing companies? What a mess...
Here's something new... I got a text message from VZW tonight that my order was received on 01/09/2017 (of course, I actually order on 11/25) and that they will send tracking information when it ships. Then I noticed that my order online changed from having a pre-order number to having an actual order number. Maybe that's a good sign?
I have not gotten my text message yet, but my order has been updated and my credit card has been charged. I believe the pattern is that your card gets charged in final processing as the device ships out the door so hopefully we will see FedEx tracking numbers in the next few to 24 hours.
I also read (rumors of course) that the emails that went out stating 3/3 and 3/10 for the new shipping dates were a mistake and should have only stated a few day delay past the 1/6 date target. It sure is starting to look like there is something to that rumor.
I think there would be a lot of frustrated, but forgiving people if that were the case and Verizon just sent out an update explaining if it was a glitch. On reddit there are a good number of folks that look like they gave up on their orders based on those emails. I hate to think that it was a tactic done on purpose to create some "organic" capacity to alleviate some of the backorders.
In any case, I am glad to see that hopefully I will be a Pixel XL user soon and no hard feelings here. I expected a wait, was justifiably frustrated at a potential further delay, but am happy progress has been made.
Where I live in North Carolina Verizon provides the best metro and rural coverage of the 4 big providers so it is not like I am going to be leaving any time soon. :smileyhappy:
Little bit of good news to share. I got the same delay email (march10). I was seething to say the least afterm already having waited since black friday, and galazy s8 set to one up the pixel xl... well...
Good news is I got an email today that my phone shipped. Included tracking number and everything. (Pixel xl 128gb).
So unless I don't get it in 2 days, the march 10 delivery date doesn't seem accurate.
Problem is...I ordered 3 phones for a family plan. Only receiving one of them ughhh
My ship date was to be 1/6. Ordered on 11/26. Instead of getting a tracking number, I got an email telling me my new ship date is 3/3. If they had shipped my phone, it would have arrived today. If I cancel my order, I lose my Black Friday deal :smileysad:. I can't convert to another device. Not happy. Verizon needs to put the heat on Google.
Give it another day or two. Mine is shipping now and will be delivered Thursday. Confirmed with Fed Ex tracking. It looks like they got through a lot of 11/24 orders yesterday and the 11/25 today. Hopefully for you tomorrow is 11/26 catch up day.
Not sure what you are receiving, but just spent 39 min on the phone with
Verizon. I ordere a silver 128gig model and they are saying no shipments
till 3-3. May come before but not likely. So good for you

Mine is a 128 GB Quite Black. I think the Very Silver 128 XLs are a little more scarce it seems.

My shipping info was sent to me earlier today. It's arriving Thursday! But, I didn't want to post that to rub in in. Actually, I just wanted to say that the VZW reps have absolutely no idea whatsoever what is going on with these orders any more than what you or I can see on the website.
Case in point: This morning, I got online and started a chat with a VZW rep to ask about the status change that happened to my order last night. They had changed my order from having a "pre-order" number to having an actual "order" number and also there was no longer an expected ship date (the 3/10 had disappeared). When I asked the rep about this, she went off for a while to "check the status of my order", then comes back and tells me that the change is simply that my order originally didn't proces through the system correctly, but now it was fixed so I have an order number and that the expected ship date was still 3/10 and that they had "stock delays because of Google", so it would definitely not ship until then. I expressed my concern that an order placed on 11/25/2016 wasn't "properly processed" until 1/9/2017, that it didn't give me much confidence in the company (VZW). She gave an "I understand your concern" line and sent me on my way.
It wasn't even 20 minutes later when I got the notice from VZW that my order had shipped along with shipping details.
So, that just goes to show you that the VZW reps are politely blowing smoke (whether they actually know it or not, I can't say) when they act like they are privy to more details about your order than you are. I don't they they really have any such information.
Which model did you order? I placed my order on the 25th also. Tried to find out how many people are ahead of me and Verizon just keeps telling me they don't have that information.
I ordered a black 128gb pixel xl on 11/24. This is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow.
I also ordered 2 additional 128gb pixel xl on 11/25 (one black, one silver).
Neither of the 2 additional have shipped yet but I got the same delayed till March email for all 3 phones.
Only thing I can tell you with any confidence is that verizon's ability to provide accurate expectations is severely lacking. Hold out hope, it appears that orders are being fulfilled much more quickly then the march delays are implying
My 11/25 order is identical to yours. I'm trying to hold out hope but they certainly don't make it easy.
As noted, I ordered my 2 XLs on 11/26. Yesterday on 1/10 my 2 orders were still in "pre" and there was a long note about delays. Now as of this morning on 1/11, the pre has converted to an order # and the long text is shortened to a mere line of text saying, your order is being processed. Hoping to receive a tracking number today! Will keep you posted. I'm sorry for all those who freaked when they got the March email. I did too, but I was told if I tried to convert to another device or cancel I would forfeit my Black Friday pricing. Glad I have been sticking it out. I think if the March emails were sent in error, Verizon should send out a retraction to minimize the cancellations and frustration.

I ordered 2 XL 128 silver on 11/26. Original date was 12/26, then moved to 1/6, then received the email the night of 1/6 saying 3/3. My order status changed yesterday from preorder to order and the long expected ship date changed to "Your order is currently being processed. Please check back later." Hanging on day by day hoping for a miracle. There folks who ordered in the same date range as you and I who are reporting receiving tracking numbers this week and their devices. Hoping Google will get their act together and put an end to this horrible experience. Buying a flagship on Black Friday is supposed to be a wonderful experience. Google has dropped the ball.
As I said before, I ordered mine on 11/25, was supposed to ship last friday, 01/06 and that afternoon I got the email everyone else got it was delayed until 03/10. But then Tuesday I got email it was shipping and would be here today. My wife told me it is there waiting on me after I finish work.
