Reason I ask is because I am heading up to Rainy Lake in MN and there is no network coverage there and I would like to use an app for navigating the lake from my phone. Thanks!

We hope you enjoy your trip. Sounds relaxing. If you are off our network you will not be able to use GPS. However, if you do have access to wifi you will be able to use data.
