Are My Old Phones Unlocked?

I just upgraded my phones to Iphones. The old phones I replaced are a Samsung Galaxy S5 and a Samsung Galaxy S3. I am going to sell the old phones. How can I get then unlocked so they can be used with other carriers? I can get more money if they are unlocked.

All Verizon phones are already SIM unlocked.  As long as the phone is compatible with another system, it will work. No unlocking needed.
