If my child deletes his texts, do they still show up in the activity report?
Yes, assuming the texts go through VzW's servers (iMessages and texts via third-party text apps aren't on the text logs regardless whether the texts were deleted or not).
Can I read the text or just see the number
The content of the text messages aren't available in the account text log. The numbers and time stamps will be included.
