Is Is there such a thing as "Select All " with this operating system. Nice to have when selecting a number of items to delete.

You do have the option to delete all for text messages that are in your folder. With emails you can delete all page by page by placing a check mark by each message. For removing contacts, there is not an option to delete all. You can only select one by one.
