When will Verizon support Pixel 4 with eSIM? Seems odd that AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint do but the flagship carrier for Pixel doesn't.
I'm very dissapointed in the lack of this service. I am switching to ATT due to this problem. Shame...
jazzcar, we value your loyalty and we never want to see you go. We can understand wanting to enjoy all additional enhancements your device has to offer. At this time the devices that currently support Dual SIM with an eSIM will be located on number 3 from this link https://vz.to/2C7u333.
Let's review your available options. Can you please let us know what interests you about the Dual SIM?

I want to carry one phone and not 2. Why else would I want a dual sim phone? And you have supported the iPhone dual sim since January and now it's a year out with no Android support.
I would also like dual sim support on the Pixel 4 as I have a personal phone line with Verizon and a business phone line also with Verizon. I do not want to carry two phones. I have always been an Android user and I purchased the Pixel 4 because it has dual sim capabilities. I do not want to purchase an iPhone. Why does Verizon only support dual sim on the iPhone and, more importantly, when will Verizon support dual sim on the Pixel 4?
Jeff651, no one wants to carry around two different cell phones. We don't have a time line as to if/when the Pixel 4 will have the dual SIM capabilities. Sign up to get the latest news by following this link http://vz.to/1m2tKLh KevinR_VZW
I am also very upset that Verizon has locked out this feature of the Pixel 4, which was my only reason for upgrading to this phone. I also have a personal number and a business number, and would really prefer to have them both active on the same device. An iPhone is simply not an option. Had I know of this limitation, I would have purchased the Pixel 4 directly from Google, and my DSDS would be working right now. Buying the phone from Verizon was a huge mistake.
I have spent hours on the phone with Google and Verizon troubleshooting the issue. It seems that even though I receive the monthly security updates, Verizon modifies these updates to lock the eSim, at least according to Google.
I am able to get Google Fi to activate on the eSim, but it uses the IMEI number that is reserved for the physical sim, so I expect that this is where the lock is. I can have Verizon activated on the physical sim, and Google Fi deactivated on the eSim, or vice versa, but both will not be active at the same time. In reviewing all of the settings, it seems that both the Physical Sim and the eSim are activated on the IMEI1 number. Both Verizon and Google Fi are unable to move their respective Sim to the IMEI2 number due to Verizon's modification of the Google monthly updates. So frustrating.
Verizon, please remove these locks so we can use this phone to its full potential. There are lots of us out here that need this feature!
Regards,
Really iPhones only. One day Verizon will understand the world doesn't revolve around iPhones. Sad and pathetic.
This is leading me to leave the Verizon service as well. Losing a long time customer over the failure to support eSIM for anything other than iPhone. Especially when you are the Pixel flagship carrier.
Please do NOT reply with the link to signup for a newsletter or the link to your supported iPhones. Provide a real update here. If you dont have the answer, go get it before updating this thread.
Otherwise, we leave.
We truly hope that you reconsider and stay with Verizon, markthegreat. We will certainly provide an update here as soon as an update is available.

Verizon,
I too am a two phone carrier and I hate it. I changed to Verizon from T-Mo about a year ago as Verizon has better signals where I live. That said, T-Mo has increased its coverage and I am about ready to switch back.
T-Mo has had a dual number program for several years in its Digits plans and it works incredibly well. I am stunned that Verizon couldn't figure this stuff out in the last year.
I am in the same boat. I have a personal phone and a business phone. Both Verizon and I have carry both. I don't want to switch carrier's but that's my only option, unless I want to switch to an iPhone. I have a pixel 3a for my business phone, I want to make one esim and have the option to use hard sim for my personal phone. Simple, other carriers do it, Verizon should. This is not an unusual situation. When will Verizon allow dual Sims with Android phones?
Only Verizon locks the Pixel to their network. It's not like the phone costs less when you sign up for Verzion. I really wish I had done a little researh before buying the VZ version of the Pixel. Now I'm stuck with it and no eSim support. Super unhappy with Verizon.
I'm so ticked! Was told by a rep when I bought the pixel 4 XL WITH CASH that it would work just fine for dual SIM once my 90 day lock was up! DSDS doesn't work! Now I'm stuck with a Verizon model and can't use my ATT work number on it at the same time. Why would Verizon do this?
AVOID Verizon! I've been a Verizon customer for 17 years and just left today. Selling my phone and buying a pixel 4 XL directly from Google.
We are so sorry to hear about you leaving Verizon and want to do everything we can to help. What do you mean by "DSDS?" Are you referring to the Duel SIM feature? What specifically happened when you tried to use/activate it?

I love how the Verizon level 1 support staff has no idea what we want and replies with lame signups links. I find it digusting Verizon doesn't support esim on essentially unlocked phones. Shame on Google for allowing Verizon to neuter our phones
Does anyone know if the March Pixel update has added eSIM? I see the add carrier button and it launches the app to add a carrier but haven't actually been able to go through. Pixel 4XL
I am so disappointed about eSIM and dual SIM support for Pixel4. Just transferred to VZ for a few months ago, but I guess this will be the reason to make me Port out to other carriers. I should do some more home work before. Shame..

Looks like DSDS should be supported now. Oh yeah!
Has anyone managed to make this work, how about with other carriers?
I can't seem to enable dual SIM mode... Tier 2 super said their network wasn't ready. Just more disappointment from Verizon.
This is a handy feature to have. What happens when you try to enable it? Have you completed the Software Update on the Pixel 4? https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/google-pixel-4-update/ AlbertoR_VZW
@vzw_customer_support @albertor_vzw I performed the Pixel4 update on 4/6/2020 "System Update 6" akQQ2A.200405.005.
When I get to step 4, I am not presented with this option to enable DSDS.
I have also factory reset and still no option to enable DSDS as instructed on Verizon's support site: https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/google-pixel-4-update/
I learned if you have an unlocked pixel from Google this step is already done. This step just unlocks the Sim slot 2. I have an unlocked pixel and my wife has a Verizon branded pixel. This step just made her pixel like my unlocked pixel.
