I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. When I try to turn on Mobile Hotspot, it says "Checking subscription status..." for a few seconds, then it says "Unable to connect. Data connection not available." How do I fix this?
Is your cellular data signal strong? You can try turning off wifi and bluetooth to see if that improves your cellular signal.

Had no issues yesterday. Have been trying to connect since 5am. Neither the Bluetooth or Hotspot will work. Both are saying data connection not available. Working from home and need this fixed ASAP!! What is the point of having unlimited data when Verizon limits your data?

I'm more than happy to take a deeper look into this to see if we can pinpoint what's going on, this way it can be resolved quickly. Are you still having issues today? Are you referring to the hotspot feature on your cell phone or an actual hotspot device such as a jetpack?
