I just updated my MacAir with Monterey 12.0.1. My Messages + app now is not working. Any HELP from Verizon would be appreciated.
I found this in another thread. This worked for me...
I was able to get it working on macOS Monterey (12.0.1) by changing this setting:Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Contacts: Uncheck "Message+"
You lose the contacts sync but other than that it functions.

Have you tried uninstalling and attempting a re-install? If it isn't compatible the App Store may tell you that. Hopefully a Verizon agent will assist here.

I have been having the same issue. When will Verizon fix this?
Upon launching the App, it crashes. A restart does not help on the app.
A restart on the Mac does not help.
An uninstall and reinstall does not help.
Crash Stats have been sent multiple times.
Same issues. Starting the app, it crashes immediately.
Verizon message+ app from the Mac Ap Store, and it didn't say anything is not compatible. On a MacBook Air M1 and macOS 12.1.
Repeat install/uninstall/reboots do nothing.
Very frustrating. Nobody seems to care or has expertise on a fix or explanation for macOS devices.

I have read threads looking for any solutions or suggestions that date back to 2020. On the verizon community boards. and every response from Verizon indicates that they never heard of this problem, but they will look into it.

This is still an issue. The binary released on the App store does not support Monterey and it does not run on the M1 ARM CPU.
The replies from the Verizon staff do not address this concern and I will be switching to another carrier as a result.
The auto-complete does not work on the web app for typing in phone numbers, syncing contacts isn't working properly and the UX is awful.
FYI the web app consistently logs me out on the following browsers every 5 minutes:
- firefox
- brave
- safari
- opera
- chrome

Easy fix if you know where to go. I currently have 12.2.1 installed and this still applies.
Navigate to Security & Privacy -> Privacy -> Contacts
Uncheck "Message+"
Contacts won't sync, but you can read and respond to messages.
I'm having the same problem. As soon as I upgraded to Monterey, my Message+ stopped working.
ON EDIT: The solution SECURITY AND PRIVACY ---> PRIVACY ---> CONTACTS ---> Uncheck "Message+" worked for me and now I can use it.
