Yahoo email problem

My yahoo email will not come through automatically - gmail will but not yahoo. I brought the phone to the store where I bought it, and he clicked a setting for data push but it is still not working. I am missing out on things which is causing me a problem!

Has anyone else had this problem? Any idea how I can fix it?

Are you using the yahoo mail application? You can download it from the market.

Yes - I have "data push" selected but the emails don't come through unless I click on the white circle at the top of my email.

white circle means that you have a yahoo account set up, but you are using the universal inbox. I've had better luck with the actual yahoo mail application than universal inbox.
Also, try powering the phone off. Sometimes that "clears" problems with the inbox. If you go to the market search for "yahoo mail".

Ok - two stupid questions...

How do I power the phone off?

And how will it tell me I have mail if I am not using the universal inbox? will it have the icons on the very top? (I guess that was three)

I wish my 13 year old did email instead of texting...he understands every other thing on this crazy phone!

Long press the button on top. You'll get a menu that includes power off.
Same long press to turn it on afterwards.
