I just had Fios installed today. We have the Motorola 7216 DVR in the living room and the cooling fan is super loud. It didn't start out that way, but after about 30 minutes it kicked into high gear. It calmed down once for a short time, but it started again and hasn't stopped all afternoon and evening.
I have tried moving it to a more open spot than the cabinet, but nothing seems to help. I'm guessing this can not be normal as I can't imagine everybody would be fine with this noise.
