Acct Number :{edited for privacy}
I was a Verizon customer March 2013 to 2014. I have enjoyed my experience with Verizon greatly. I am writing to see if you would be willing to make a "goodwill" adjustment to your reporting to the three credit agencies. I have signed up for a two year contract but I had to move to new apartment and disconnect the service as there was no Verizon service at my new place. But a few months later my credit report monitoring showed a collection account from Verizon for the amount of $27(early termination fees). There was not a single call or a final bill in my mail letting me know that I owe this amount to Verizon. Otherwise I would have made a payment. But I immediately called the number on the collection report and paid the balance in full upon agreeing verbally that this would be removed from my credit report after I make the payment.
I have paid the balance in full although I'm not entitled to pay any early termination fees as there was no Verizon service at my new place expecting that this would drop from my credit report. But the collection account is still showing up on my report.I made two collection payment to remove Verizon collection from my credit report , But it is still showing as deliquent account with collection which is impacting mortage interest rate for my first time home buying.
With today’s credit industry so competitive, I know how important it is to maintain good relationships with customers. Verizon has been exceptional in my book so far and I highly recommend you to all my friends and relatives in terms of the product but customer service failed me. I hope that you will deeply consider my request and prove once again, why Verizon heads above the rest. I look forward to your reply.
